It all started when...

Krimo's opened on 4th May 1985 with a mere £250 at the seaside resort of Seaton Carew (Hartlepool) in the North-East of England. We put the restaurant on the map with the help of immensely dedicated staff, a few of whom are still with us. From the very start, we realised that Krimo's was a runaway success because we were booked up weeks in advance due to the format of "your table for the night" At one time, there wasn't one free table on Saturdays for 16 weeks. In July 1990, we moved out of the first-floor flat and doubled the seating. 

In April 2000, we opened the new Krimo's, our new self-designed 80-seater restaurant on Hartlepool Marina (pictured on this page). Whilst retaining quite a few of the old menu's favourites, we encourage the chefs to experiment with new dishes and as a result the menu now contains some exciting additions. Over the last two years we have added also a few Algerian dishes. These have been proved very popular. Krimo's has remained as popular as ever and, although we may now have the odd free table mid-week, we still refuse people on Saturdays. The same format remains and so does the quality of ingredients. 

A truly delightful oasis now offering superb Mediterranean and Algerian cuisine in the idyllic setting of Hartlepool Marina.

Hartlepool Marina has brought a new breath of fresh air to the town. The Historic Quay, the replica of an 18th century port  was voted best tourist attraction in 2000. HMS Trincomalee, attracts thousands of visitors.
